She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art and Theology from the University of Notre Dame and a Doctor of Jurisprudence and Master of Business Administration degree in Law, International Business and Environmental Management from the University of Tennessee. She practiced law for ten years in the United States and abroad before returning to her passions of writing and creating artwork. She is a Painter, Sculptor and Mixed Media Artist.
