The poems take on a myriad of forms – couplets, stichic, quatrains, etc. What drives them are their more surreal images and similes while simultaneously remaining grounded in what it means to be a woman in this world. \u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eOne poem begs the following question: “What matters?” It’s a difficult question to answer but Singing makes the attempt.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp align=\"justify\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eLoisa Fenichell’s work has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize and Best of the Net and has been featured or is forthcoming in \u003cem\u003eGuernica Magazine\u003c\/em\u003e, \u003cem\u003eNarrative Magazine\u003c\/em\u003e, \u003cem\u003ePoetry Northwest\u003c\/em\u003e, \u003cem\u003eWashington Square Review\u003c\/em\u003e, and elsewhere. Her chapbook, \u003cem\u003eall these urban fields\u003c\/em\u003e, was published by nothing to say press and her collection, \u003cem\u003eWandering in all directions of this earth\u003c\/em\u003e, is the winner of the 2022 Ghost Peach Press Prize, selected by Eduardo C. Corral and forthcoming from Ghost Peach Press in 2023. She is the winner of the 2021 \u003cem\u003eBat City Review\u003c\/em\u003e Editors' Prize, has been a finalist for \u003cem\u003eNarrative Magazine\u003c\/em\u003e’s 2021 30 Below contest, a runner-up for \u003cem\u003eTupelo Quarterly\u003c\/em\u003e's Tupelo Poetry Prize, and a finalist for the Dorianne Laux \/ Joe Millar prize.
