Rehberg, PhD, ATC, NREMT\u003c\/i\u003e, is a Professor and Coordinator of Athletic Training\u003cbr\u003e Clinical Education at William Paterson University in Wayne, New Jersey. He is also a founding\u003cbr\u003e partner of The Rehberg Konin Group, and serves as cofounder, President, and CEO of Sport\u003cbr\u003e Safety International. He currently serves as an ATC Medical Spotter for the National Football\u003cbr\u003e League during New York Jets home games. He also serves as the subject matter expert for first\u003cbr\u003e aid programs for the National Safety Council. Dr. Rehberg previously served as the Director and\u003cbr\u003e Chief of Emergency Services at Montclair State University in Montclair, New Jersey, and spent 13\u003cbr\u003e years as the head athletic trainer at Westwood Regional High School in Westwood, New Jersey.\u003cbr\u003e A graduate of West Chester University (BS), the US Sports Academy (MSS), and Touro\u003cbr\u003e University International (PhD), Dr. Rehberg has authored several refereed papers, 2 textbooks, \u003cbr\u003e and more than a dozen peer-reviewed online courses that have trained over 750,000 coaches, \u003cbr\u003e parents, and athletes in 52 countries. An award-winning lecturer, Dr. Rehberg frequently speaks\u003cbr\u003e at state and national meetings on sports emergency care, spinal injuries in sports, sudden cardiac\u003cbr\u003e arrest in athletes, and concussion management. He is also the executive producer of the National\u003cbr\u003e Safety Council First Aid, CPR, and Emergency Medical Response training videos.\u003cbr\u003e Dr. Rehberg served as a member of the medical staff for athletics (track and field) at the\u003cbr\u003e 1996 Olympic Games. He has been active on both state and national levels, having served on the\u003cbr\u003e First and Second National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA) Inter-Association Task Forces\u003cbr\u003e for the Appropriate Care of the Spine-Injured Athlete, the Task Force on Appropriate Medical\u003cbr\u003e Coverage for the Secondary School-Aged Athlete, and several other committees at the state level.\u003cbr\u003e Dr. Rehberg has also served as a technical adviser to the National Safety Council since 1992 and\u003cbr\u003e as a member of the American Heart Association Task Force that developed the first-ever international\u003cbr\u003e guidelines for first aid in 2000. He was a charter member of the New Jersey Disaster\u003cbr\u003e Medical Assistance Team.\u003cbr\u003e Dr. Rehberg is a former member of the NATA Foundation Board of Directors, is the District\u003cbr\u003e 2 Treasurer of the National Athletic Trainers' Association, is a Trustee of the Brain Injury\u003cbr\u003e Alliance of New Jersey, and served as president of the Athletic Trainers' Society of New Jersey\u003cbr\u003e from 2007 to 2009.\u003cbr\u003e Dr. Rehberg has received numerous awards in recognition of his professional accomplishments.\u003cbr\u003e Most notably, he is an inductee in both the New Jersey Scholastic Coaches Association\u003cbr\u003e Hall of Fame and the Athletic Trainers' Society of New Jersey (ATSNJ) Hall of Fame. He is also\u003cbr\u003e the recipient of both the NATA and ATSNJ Service Award, and in 2014 received distinction as a\u003cbr\u003e Most Distinguished Athletic Trainer.\u003cbr\u003e\u003ci\u003eJeff G. Konin, PhD, ATC, PT, FACSM, FNATA\u003c\/i\u003e, earned a BS in Physical Education from\u003cbr\u003e Eastern Connecticut State University, an MEd in Sports Medicine from the University of\u003cbr\u003e Virginia, an MPT in Physical Therapy from the University of Delaware, and a PhD in Physical\u003cbr\u003e Therapy from Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Konin is recognized as a Fellow by both the\u003cbr\u003e American College of Sports Medicine and the National Athletic Trainers' Association for his\u003cbr\u003e career contributions.\u003cbr\u003e Dr. Konin has held the positions of Professor and the Chair of the Physical Therapy\u003cbr\u003e Department at the University of Rhode Island in Kingston, Rhode Island, Director of Athletics at\u003cbr\u003e Eastern Connecticut State University, Faculty \u0026amp; Vice Chair of Orthopaedics \u0026amp; Sports Medicine\u003cbr\u003e at the University of South Florida (USF), Executive Director of the Sports Medicine and Athletic\u003cbr\u003e Related Trauma (SMART) Institute at USF, Director of the Graduate Athletic Training Program\u003cbr\u003e at USF, and Health Sciences faculty and Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Medicine at James\u003cbr\u003e Madison University. Dr. Konin is also founding partner in The Rehberg Konin Group, a firm\u003cbr\u003e providing consulting in the areas of sport safety and education, and founding member of Sport\u003cbr\u003e Safety International, specializing in the delivery of sport safety educational resources.\u003cbr\u003e Dr. Konin's published work and invited presentations have focused in the area of sports medicine\u003cbr\u003e with a particular interest in injury prevention and sport safety. He has shared his expertise at\u003cbr\u003e professional conferences throughout the United States as well as in Australia, New Zealand, Italy, \u003cbr\u003e Norway, Romania, England, and Austria. His experiences have included serving on the medical\u003cbr\u003e staff for the 1996 Olympic Games and as a medical coordinator for the USA Wheelchair Rugby\u003cbr\u003e Paralympic Team.
