The author, Betty Swinford, shared her valuable scriptural insight and experiences concerning the realm of darkness in this book for the purpose of teaching, strengthening and edifying the Body of Christ. It was her heart's desire to train soldiers of the cross how to discern and test spirits, take authority over demons, and set people free to become overcomers according to their authority in Christ through the Spirit and the Word. A supplementation was added to this book by the publishers to provide additional interesting accounts of spiritual warfare, along with a reprinting of Betty Swinford's excellent, small book, \u003cem\u003eWord of Knowledge.\u003c\/em\u003e It was first printed in 1976 and those who were involved with \u003cem\u003eWar In the Spirit Realm\u003c\/em\u003e felt it would serve as an added bonus to this information to bring insight into this gift of the Spirit.
