Author Biography
James Barentine is a retired educator who spent over half his career working with children ages 3-8 as a school principal. By taking an educational career, he followed in the footsteps of his much loved grandmother, who taught in public schools of Grant County in New Mexico for about 50 years. Her love for the English language sparked in James an intrigue for the intricacies and manipulation of language to pursue learning objectives. James was raised in a rural setting, graduating from Cliff High School. His university degrees were earned at Western New Mexico University in Silver City, New Mexico, where his baccalaureate major is in General Science and his post-graduate degree is in Educational Administration. Currently, James and his wife reside in southern New Mexico. His children and their families live in Utah, in Arizona, and in the State of Chihuahua in Mexico.
