Cynthia Baughan Wheaton hates to see small businesses fail, especially when failure could have been avoided. As The Entrepreneur's Friend(R), she offers practical business advice, character encouragement and spiritual insight. Gleaned from her own experience, honed by professional publications and presentations, her writing is both personal and practical.

Cynthia has life-long ties to entrepreneurship and earned an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill at a time when few women sought one. As a manager, Cynthia developed new ventures within Sara Lee Direct and World Book Encyclopedia. At Kestnbaum & Company, she learned the consulting business. After a decade as an independent database marketing consultant, she joined forces with her husband to create Wheaton Group LLC, a successful boutique consulting firm.
