Author Biography

Silvia C. Rodríguez es originaria de Chihuahua, México. Estudió en la Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua y obtuvo el título de contador público. Más adelante, para apoyar a su esposo, Gustavo Rodríguez, emigró a los Estados Unidos. Al inicio Silvia se dedicó a estudiar inglés, después se desempeñó en diversos campos: veterinario, auditoría y contabilidad. Hoy se encuentra establecida en German Village, vecindario histórico de Columbus, Ohio. Es allí en donde, inspirada por la belleza del lugar decidió incursionar en la escritura como parte de una meta personal. Silvia es autora de la novela corta Un cubano más, Just another cuban (Traducida al idioma ingles) y el libro infantil bilingüe Sandi y el caballo Manchas. Silvia C. Rodríguez was born in Chihuahua, México. She graduated from the Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua with a degree in Accounting. Later, to be supportive of her husband, Gustavo Rodríguez, she immigrated to the United States. The first thing Silvia did after arriving in the U.S. was to dedicate some time to study English. Later, she worked in several areas of employment, including veterinary, auditing and accounting. She is now established in the historic and charming German Village in Columbus, Ohio. It is there that, inspired by the beautiful surroundings, she decided to write and thus achieve a long-dreamed personal goal.
