This is a story about a girl raised in church whose life is changed when she goes off to college. Church was all she knew because of her sheltered childhood. In pursuit of self-discovery and truth, she met many obstacles. This story is about young woman's quest to find understanding in all the events happening in her life. Will she find God as a lesbian amid the social and cultural rigidity she was raised in? What did God reveal concerning her sexuality? Was she able to find freedom or condemnation? Did she survive homophobia within her family circle? More importantly, was she able to sustain the authentic and organic connection she and God developed in childhood? This is my story. A memoir written to the LGBTQ+ community.
