by Michael Whitehouse (Author)

Everyone knows that "guy who knows a guy." The person, man or woman, who always seems to have a connection to whatever you are looking for. They say that it's not what you know, it's who you know. I couldn't agree more, but what most people don't realize is that who you know depends on what you do to meet people. This book, written in fun, easy to read language, will give you tips and strategies that you can use today to expand your network.Learn how to navigate networking events, discover what you offer that no one else can, find clients though networking avenues, and even find a job.You too can be the guy (or gal) who knows a guy, and this book will start you in the right direction to learn how.Updated in 2021, the revised edition added three new pages and incorporates some new ideas the author learned through his coaching business.

Author Biography

Michael Whitehouse has worked in sales and marketing for the better part of 20 years. In 2014, he and his wife moved to Groton, Connecticut where they knew no one. Within two years, he had connections with local business leaders, government officials, and many others. This experience made him realize that he had a story to tell that could benefit others, leading him to write his first book, The Guy Who Knows a Guy. Michael has always had a passion for bringing communities together, whether it was in college running events for the community or his most recent project groton.hyperlocalnow.com, a resource site for the Groton community. Finding the part of his brain that tells him he should be afraid of public speaking, Michael enjoys speaking in front of any audience he can find, and gives compelling talks on sales, creative marketing, and networking.
