Charles Monroe Sheldon was born on 26th Feb 1857 and died on 24th Feb 1946. He was an American minister in the Congregational churches and leader of the Social Gospel movement. His novel, In His Steps, introduced the principle of "What Would Jesus Do? Is a best selling book and sold more than 30 Lakhs copies so far. It was published in 1897.
