Jack is lost in time, sent back from the 22nd century to the end of the nineteenth century, where he lands in The Marysburgh Vortex, a mysterious location known for swallowing up ships and sailors on the Great Lakes. But he remembers nothing-- only strange trace memories of a bizarre future where the Sun has penetrated our atmosphere and people live underground among the ruins scrambling for survival. Soon, he stumbles on a murder and the trace memories of a troubling future grow more intense. Join him as he scrambles to stay one step ahead of a deadly army of drones, robots and assassins led by a mysterious Dark Master while recovering the world's last known samples of Elusine, an extinct element that just might save the world's atmosphere from imploding.

The Marysburgh Vortex Vol. 1: Jack Wenland: Time Guardian

What would you do if you discovered you were from the future?

What if the world in the future was on the brink of total collapse?

What if a strange piece of technology in your pocket could save the world?

What if you had to choose between saving the world or saving your family?

These are the questions that Jack Wenland faces. But Jack has amnesia, and somehow, he's awoken three centuries into his past in The Marysburgh Vortex, a mysterious location on The Great Lakes where ships and sailors disappear daily. What's more, he's being pursued by an army of assassins, robots and killer drones led by a mysterious dark master. With the help of his newfound friend Captain J. Sidley of the schooner Picton, Jack must evade capture until he discovers how and why he holds the key to Earth's survival. Welcome to a world where time travel, steampunk and high adventure pull you into a past ... and a future ... you could never imagine.
