Alcohol addiction further complicates Gordon's anger issues and lead to this once upstanding peace officer's world spiraling into the destruction of his life. His wife, fearing for the safety of herself and her daughter flee the family home. The two find solace, safety and a new beginning many miles away in Pismo Beach where they integrate into the community and life is good...for a while.
