Faith is the human response to divinity. God has prescribed a lifestyle by which the justified should live. We see this in Hebrews 10:38: Now the just shall live by faith... It is spiritual in nature. It is not mental. It defies logic. It cannot be measured empirically. It is results oriented. It comes by hearing. It is potent. And it is for now. The human being without spiritual guidance and support is like a tree with shallow roots. It cannot stand in the storms of life. It is of great importance for our life to be built on the Rock. Without this foundation, the ground is shaky. So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17). The law of faith is this: when you believe, you receive. Period!
