Mad Medicus draws its inspiration from Samuel Beckett's twentieth-century play, Waiting For Godot. It highlights the absurdity and meaninglessness in waiting for a perceived supernatural being who is believed to possess the powers to solve all of man's problems. The characters in this play have come with various problems in search of the doctor whom they believe will proffer solutions to them, but they are soon to realize that their problems are self-inflicted and the solutions lie within them.
