Henrik Ibsen was an exiled Norwegian playwright author of, the popular plays; "A Doll's House" and "Hedda Gabler", the latter of which featured one of theater's most notorious characters. The Pillars of Society, was the first of any of Ibsen's plays to be performed in English, under the title "Quicksands".
