Hi and a very warm welcome to "Sharks". I've always been fascinated and may I say afraid by these incredible animals, ever since I saw "Jaws" at the movies, (showing my age there). One of my children has recently finished a project for school on the subject, which I confess, I was truly proud of and it got me thinking. There are a number of misconceptions out there about sharks, mainly through fear sensationalized by the media. I felt it was time to put the record straight and what better platform to use than kindle. The book, I hope you are about to read, was created with children in mind although like my daughter's project, I think adults will also learn a thing or two. If you are an expert on the subject of sharks then it's unlikely you will find anything new here but if, like me, you enjoy learning unusual facts with interesting pictures then I hope you'll find it worthwhile. Author Biography

Matthew Harper was born in 1965, Surrey, United Kingdom. He is married with two young children and is a great believer in using images combined with interesting facts to help both inspire and educate. His simple philosophy, drawn from his own experiences, is that a teacher who holds the attention of the class without the need of strict discipline or blackmail is indeed a rarity. His books are designed to help young children learn through participation, by checking understanding and offering encouragement. Matthew found that for him personally, this was the only way he could retain information at an early age. Children generally love to be rewarded when they get something right and by using a short quiz at the end of each publication, Matthew ensures that every reader finishes a winner!
