Wilson-Granat is a devoted animal activist and vegan. She is also the author of Strength from Tragedy: Anne Frank's Father Shares His Wisdom with an American Teen. Otto Frank's compassionate insight has guided Wilson-Granat through many challenges in her life.

Wilson-Granat lives with her husband, Peter, and cat, Boo, in Colorado.
