This book is more of a scrapbook than a history. It contains stories and photos covering thirty-five years in the life of one U S Navy warship. These are stories of ordinary people doing extraordinary and mundane things. These stories reveal what was like to be one small cog in the huge machine that was the U S Navy in that period after World War II and the collapse of the Soviet Union.
